FaceTime upgrades IM Auditor

Real time communications security specialist, FaceTime Communications, today launched its newest release of IM Auditor. IM Auditor 5.0 expands on the market-leading IM Auditor by integrating with MSN Messenger Connect for Enterprises. Companies can now enforce information security and corporate and regulatory compliance policies to Instant Messaging (IM) taking place between employees, mobile workers, partners and customers outside the corporate network.

IM Auditor 5.0 enables customers to extend the management and security of IM beyond the firewall to include communications from a home office, smart phone or other handheld mobile device.

FaceTime's information security and management capabilities including IM logging, auditing, reporting, spim control and anti-virus scanning for file transfers is made possible by the routing of all remote MSN Messenger Connect for Enterprises IM traffic through IM Auditor 5.0 in a safe and secure manner.

IM Auditor 5.0 enables its users to reserve full namespace control and in doing so protect against fraudulent use of corporate identities by rogue employees.

IM Auditor 5.0 provides anti-virus scanning of file transfers through its integration with Symantec, Network Associates and Trend Micro while delivering EMC Centera support for the central storage and management of IM, email and other electronic data sources.
New IM Auditor 5.0 capabilities include:
o Integration with MSN Messenger Connect for Enterprises
o Enhanced virus scanning of file transfers through integration with Symantec, Network Associates and Trend Micro anti-virus engines
o Extended support for Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2003 with maximum scalability and encryption support
o EMC Centera integration for a more cost effective management of storage and data retention policies, while continuing to offer real-time reporting
o Veritas Digital Lifecycle Manager integration

IM Auditor 5.0 will be generally available in May.
