The rollout is using systems developed by Card Tech Limited (CTL), a UK-based leader in the payments industry, and went operational less than three months after the project development and planning agreement was signed.

A CTL client since 2002, Eurobank EFG Group chose to deploy the same CTL PRIME and ONLINE card management software it successfully uses in Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro and Cyprus to support its international issuing and acquiring credit card business.

Drawing on the unique multi-country, multi-lingual and multi-currency functionalities of the PRIME platform, Polbank EFG is offering a Visa-branded card to its retail customers. Using PRIME's innovative Instalments module, the bank has also introduced the option for cardholders to pay for goods in interest-free instalments.

Edith Kessler-Charalambous, General Manager Business Expansion at CTL, said "CTL PRIME has yet again proven itself as a flexible, global platform that delivers crucial benefits from its multi-country and multi-institutional functionality. We have also demonstrated its extremely fast time to market deployment and exceptional versatility in meeting diverse banking requirements."
