Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) and its processing center RPC have selected Antelop as their strategic partner for the launch of their Digital Card services, including its popular mobile payment application RaiPay

Based in Vienna, RBI is one of the largest universal banking groups in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), serving more than 17 million customers across Austria and 13 CEE countries. RaiPay enables consumers to digitize their Visa and Mastercard cards and have secure mobile contactless payments on an Android device.

Initially launched in 2019, RaiPay is a successful NFC payment application across CEE (live in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Kosovo) and counts an average rating from 4.0 to 4.9 in mobile application stores. RBI, RPC and Antelop have been partners for the past three years and successfully implemented digital card solutions through RaiPay but also other use cases like Apple Pay for these countries.

“Thanks to the cooperation with Antelop, RPC was able to bring the solution for the whole banking group in a record time. The trustful relationship we have built in the process is a solid foundation for future innovations and the reliability of RaiPay” confirms Birgit Rohrhofer, CEO of RPC.

Moving from a successful NFC application to more and more Digital Card features leveraging state-of-the-art UX, Raiffeisen is leading the way in the region with new value propositions to users overpassing the standards of XPays. RaiPay offers much more than NFC daily payments with digital card management, PSD2 Strong Customer Authentication for sensitive operations and e-commerce 3DS payments, P2P and more to come.

The future of banking and payment applications is the ability to view, control, push, update and manage digital cards that users have shared with all the different mobile wallets and e-merchants they deal with.

“We are honored by the trust of Raiffeisen in Antelop. We share a joint vision of innovation around Digital Cards and the same ambition to change the life of millions of users on their daily payment habits” adds Timothée Grüner, CCO of Antelop.

Raiffeisen RaiPay users already made more than 10 million payments with the app.
