In February 2021, Opera launched its new European Fintech, Dify. In its initial version, Dify offers an in-browser cashback service and a standalone wallet app with a current account and a free Mastercard debit card.

Antelop provides Dify with its Issuer TSP Hub. The ITSP Hub allows card issuers to easily enable contactless mobile payments and to offer a mobile-first, digital card experience to their customers. Thanks to Antelop’s solution, the virtual card is instantly tokenized and can be directly added to Google Pay via push provisioning. This collaboration between Opera and Antelop aims to offer a seamless, fully digital-first experience to Dify’s users.

“Digital cards are leading the way now. They are what users expect. Partnering with Antelop has been key for Dify as it allows our users to instantly activate our card in Google Pay for NFC payments. With an experience of more than 25 years in building browsers, Opera has a track record of delivering superior, digital-first online experiences. Our work with Antelop helps us deliver such experiences to our fintech audience.” said Sebastien Piolat, Director of Business Development - Fintech at Opera.

“Opera is an established browser brand. They are now out to disrupt the European fintech ecosystem and aim to bring smart and user-friendly solutions to their users. We are proud that Opera selected us as a partner for digital cards. We look forward to driving this partnership even further and to working on exciting projects together,” said Danh Bui, Business Development Manager at Antelop.

“This strategic partnership brings an innovative and mobile-first approach to digital payments,” added Timothée Grüner, CCO of Antelop.

Dify by Opera was launched in February 2021 in beta in Spain. More European countries are to follow.
