The bank’s ‘Get Together. Go Contactless’ campaign which runs till May 31, 2021, offers customers the opportunity to earn entries every time they make a contactless payment using their Visa debit or credit card, to enter a mega draw to win exciting prizes. Customers can earn an entry every time they choose to pay while shopping at a store by tapping their cards and making a contactless payment. Online payments for e-commerce transactions will earn two entries while usage of mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay as well as wearables such as Fitbit Pay and Garmin Pay will earn three entries for every transaction.
As more customers make contactless payments using their Visa cards, additional prizes are unlocked giving participants increased opportunities to win, thus putting community engagement and participation at the heart of the campaign. Winning customers will then be provided the opportunity to redeem their prizes by making a final contactless payment and claim premium rewards such as one of four BMW 520is for only AED 520, one of 200 iPhone 12s for AED 12 and one of 50 smart televisions (75”) for AED 75.
As a market leader in payment cards, Emirates NBD’s campaign in partnership with global digital payments leader, Visa, aims to encourage and reward customers for making the transition to carrying out contactless transactions and adopting different contactless payment methods. Emirates NBD offers customers the option to link their debit and credit cards to their smartphone or wearables to make quick and secure payments via mobile wallets and personal devices.
“Following the significant rise in contactless payment volumes in the pandemic, we believe more than ever that the future of payments lies in contactless payment methods,” said Suvo Sarkar, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Emirates NBD. “We are pleased to reward our customers for adapting to touch-free technologies as we continue to deliver exceptional value and frictionless payment experiences. Our unique campaign is also designed to bring a sense of togetherness in the community as customers encourage each other to drive greater contactless adoption and give participants more chances to win.”
