The decision for ORTEC was made as a result of a European tender procedure in which several vendors were evaluated. PEARL's flexibility, handling of currency hedging and extensive functionality for fixed income attribution as well as its web reporting capabilities were important factors in the decision. PEARL will provide the Swedish pension fund with clear insight into the results of its investment policy and strategy.

AP4 was looking for a supplier offering in-depth support and knowledge of performance measurement and overlay programs. ORTEC meets these requirements and PEARL offers a high degree of flexibility, is very user-friendly at the same time, and can be implemented in a short amount of time.

AP4 is the second Swedish pension fund to choose ORTEC's solution for performance and risk management. Mark Lamers, Sales Manager at ORTEC, sees a growing worldwide need for automated solutions for fixed income attribution: "The selection of PEARL by ABP Investments in December 2005 is another confirmation of this. We also see an increasing interest for PEARL from asset managers."
