Credit Agricole Martinique shifts branch ethos with NCR ATMs

NCR Corporation (NYSE:NCR) today announced the rollout of 30 new NCR Personas M Series 87 automated teller machines (ATMs) with image-based Intelligent Deposit capabilities at Credit Agricole Martinique bank branches in France and French Guiana.

Credit Agricole Martinique's initiative is part of the bank's "New Concept Branch" project which gives its customers more autonomy in performing everyday banking transactions. The cash or check deposit function available with NCR's Personas M Series has largely contributed to attaining this goal. With these deposit-taking units in place, Credit Agricole Martinique has successfully increased available times to conduct banking transactions and also offers immediate crediting of deposits to customer accounts.

When the NCR Personas M Series ATMs were first installed, branch employees assisted customers with their transactions. Now, they need only assist new users, while also now being able to provide value-added consulting services to all customers.

"Our customers welcomed this ATM project with great enthusiasm. They appreciate the greater availability of our staff, who have become true banking advisors," explains Jean-Richard Lidar, Credit Agricole Martinique's director of communication.

"What we have seen at Credit Agricole Martinique is a testament to the widespread adoption of self-service banking," said Jeff Lutz, vice president of Global Sales and Marketing for NCR's Financial Solutions Division. "These self-service projects meet a growing demand from consumers, while enabling bank employees to move toward tasks with greater added value."
