Following its successful links with Vertex Financial Services to power application processing and point of sale, leading high street broker Bradford & Bingley has integrated The Exchange’s market leading portal to create a straight through processing platform for its advisers.
The Exchange, a Vertex company, will power quotes and e-new business submissions, building on Vertex’s point of sale system – Omiga – which provides a customised client servicing and management information back office.
The first phase of Omiga went live in January 2006 and the second phase, integrating to Exweb, goes live this summer.
The additional point of sale capability, provided by The Exchange, will support Bradford & Bingley’s mortgage advisers in the sale of protection products, helping advisers to quickly and easily match products to client requirements. In addition, Omiga, which provides customised point of sale and back office administration, will drive improved productivity for advisers, improving cross sales and conversion rates plus streamlining key business processes.
These improvements will be delivered through:
• A full end to end solution from lead-management to commission tracking, including shortfall needs analysis and a fully compliant sales process
• A comparative quote service which gives the ability to source from a large choice of protection products and providers, but currently only links to Legal & General, and online new business submissions through Exweb
• A straight-through-processing platform, providing pre-populated client fields to avoid re-keying client details
Andy Hunt, managing director of Vertex Financial Services, comments: "We are delighted that Bradford & Bingley has chosen to build on the relationship with Vertex, implementing Omiga with Exweb to create an integrated solution for advisers. This is another opportunity to demonstrate our comprehensive and holistic approach to the financial services market."
Mathew Jackson, retail change director at Bradford & Bingley, comments: "We chose Vertex for its best—in-class mortgage processing solution and leading point-of-sale system, together with the market leading comparative quotation service from The Exchange. Vertex offers a seamless approach to providing a comprehensive mortgage platform, integration with life and protection providers offering quotation and new business processing services and low cost application processing technology."
He continues: "This means our advisers can research the market for mortgage and related business, produce comparative quotes and submit e-new business applications together with an integrated client database. Vertex helps our advisers become more efficient and allows them to spend more time helping our customers."
