Smart Engines, an AI-based Computer Vision software developer became the supplier of the technology.

Account pop-up, online payments and Card2Card transfers have become a seamless process, due to the new feature that allows quick scanning of all the types of bank cards, including embossed and flat, as well as vertical cards and cards with data on the back.

Smart Engines’ technologies are based on breakthrough scientific research in Computer Vision and provide superior speed, accuracy, safety, and seamless user experience. The optical recognition systems work in all the natural conditions - in low and excessive lighting, on the go, as well as on taxi or public transport. The scanning is performed in a fraction of a second and is secure in terms of private and confidential data processing, as all the calculations are done on the mobile device, without transferring the document image to a third-party service.

“Asiamoney, an international business magazine, has named our bank as the top digital bank in Kazakhstan. We are striving to keep the leadership, that’s why we constantly improve our application with cutting-edge technologies. Integrating Smart Engines’ solutions aims at a better remote customer service, as recognition and verification of the documents and bank cards happen almost immediately.”, says Alfa Bank Kazakhstan Transfer Team Product Owner Alexander Uzdyaev.

“We are proud that the foremost bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan has chosen Smart Engines’ solution for recognition of bank cards and national identity documents. In the current environment, it has become vital to provide the users with convenient interaction tools for communication with the bank without visiting the office, and our technologies allow adding such features into mobile and online banking applications.”, comments Smart Engines CEO, Vladimir Arlazarov, Ph.D.
