NBG uses SunGard’s Adaptiv Operations to manage its portfolio of OTC derivatives. The solution provides an integrated framework for front- to back-office processing, helping the bank to increase automation, streamline operations and improve workflow efficiency. Adaptiv Operations helps NBG to manage large volume vanilla trades through to more complex and exotic transactions. The SunGard solution’s user-defined business rules will help NBG to specify at a detailed level the required business processes. It also provides real-time monitoring of all transactions.

SunGard’s Adaptiv suite of products provides enterprise-wide market and credit risk management and operations solutions for financial services institutions. Adaptiv Operations builds on SunGard’s experience in the operations area, providing back-office modules that offer organisations operations management and process control from the front- through to the back-office in real-time and on an enterprise-wide basis. Adaptiv Operations helps provide consistency in trade processing, data management, control and compliance to user-defined standards.

Juerg Hunziker, president of SunGard’s Adaptiv business unit, said, "With banks facing challenges from new regulations and increasingly trading more complex derivatives, it is imperative that they deploy a solution that gives them the technology infrastructure to help improve accuracy and control in the back office. Adaptiv Operations helps ensure the highest level of operational efficiency."
