The document was signed at the Startup Village Livestream ’20 conference organized by Skolkovo Foundation.

The first step in the partnership will be the creation of VTB's own research center based at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow. This will allow VTB to accelerate achieving its strategic IT goals by getting access to innovative infrastructure and enhancing its capabilities.

The creation of the center and integration of VTB into the Skolkovo ecosystem will allow it to take work to a whole new level and boost returns in priority areas for the bank such as big data and processing algorithms, digital security technologies, and new tools for improving production and business systems efficiency.

"VTB’s new position as a key partner of the Fund and being able to access the Skolkovo ecosystem, as well as the experience and expertise accumulated by its team in developing and commercializing technologies will help us make a huge technological leap forward. " said Sergey Bezbogov, senior Vice President and head of the IT organization and management Department at VTB Bank.

"At Europe's largest startup event of the year, we are pleased to announce that VTB Bank has been awarded the official status of key partner of the Skolkovo Foundation. Within the framework of the partnership agreement, a three-year action plan has been developed aimed at attracting and developing the most promising technological projects in the field of digital security, neurotechnology and artificial intelligence, AR/VR technologies, fintech and distributed registries. Investment in innovation is investment in the future. " said Konstantin Parshin, Vice President and Executive Director of the Skolkovo Foundation's IT cluster.
