Shield is proud to announce the launch of its new Advanced Workflow function as part of the Shield eComms Surveillance platform.
The new functionality allows financial firms to build their own workflows and business processes in the application, ensuring compliance investigations meet the requirements of the business, and enabling different teams to be managed from one central platform.
Nicole Aviv, Head of Product at Shield states, “eComms surveillance is vital for all modern financial firms, ensuring regulatory compliance and excellent service for clients, but equally this function needs to be well integrated with the operations of the business. Shield’s new Advanced Workflow function ensures alerts and rules are tailored to the internal structure of the firm, providing support to operations rather than creating an additional task for compliance teams.”
Using a simple ‘drag and drop’ approach, compliance officers can easily build, amend, and update workflows to best suit the business structure and teams involved. Once the Shield system detects potentially suspicious behaviour an alert is generated, with Advanced Workflow enabling a bespoke response.
Nicole adds, “Advanced Workflow maps the steps following an alert, for example passing the details to a compliance officer to make a decision whether further investigation by the appropriate individual/team is required. This approach not only adds further flexibility in deployment of surveillance, it also ensures greater automation and the efficiencies this delivers.”
As with the main Shield surveillance platform itself, Advanced Workflow builds a visual map of the process, ensuring it is easy to use and configure for any size of business. The compliance team simply maps out the workflow that suits their organisational and operational needs, whilst adhering to necessary regulations governing compliance.
Nicole concludes, “Shield’s Advanced Workflow is completely flexible, enabling the inclusion of all relevant links and information for compliance officers to track and action the expected response to an alert. As with the entire Shield platform, it also provides a full audit trail and open approach which is highly customizable and perfect for linking with and mirroring other business processes.”
