ViewDirect-ABS is an audit and balancing system that ensures the integrity and consistency of enterprise information by automating the balancing and reconciliation processes that are typically subject to error when performed manually. ViewDirect-ABS balances across platforms and applications and alerts key personnel when irregularities occur. The software is a component of ViewDirect TCM, an integrated suite of solutions for total content management.
SEI's Private Banking and Trust group offers outsourced investment processing solutions that comprise a complete investment accounting and management information system for trust institutions. Reconciliation of data in multiple systems against the core accounting and trust processing system is an expensive, labor intensive process that can take as long as 25 days to complete for just one client. Initial tests with ViewDirect-ABS have reduced processing times significantly.
According to Mark Nagle, Senior Vice President of Operations at SEI, this reduction in processing time will bring significant operational efficiencies to SEI. "Automating reconciliation with ViewDirect-ABS will not only reduce staff requirements, but will also enhance the quality of the service we deliver to our clients. In addition, we can continue to focus our talented resources on activities that deliver additional value to our client base."
"ViewDirect-ABS was designed and developed to be used by the entire user community, so no high-level computer proficiency is required," said David Winkler, vice president of product marketing at Mobius. "It is a versatile tool that can be used in a wide-range of applications to identify erroneous information and initiate corrective action before inaccurate data is propagated across the organization."
