North Shore Credit Union (NSCU) and FileNet Corporation (Nasdaq: FILE), the leading provider of Enterprise Content and Business Process Management solutions, today announced that NSCU has successfully implemented FileNet's Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution throughout its organization to help streamline document-based business processes for improved customer service, communications and cost savings.
With a solid reputation for member-focused service, NSCU recognized the need to improve its content and business management processes. Having previously implemented an industry award-winning member relationship management system to help NSCU stay in touch with individual members and tailor products and services to their needs, NSCU wanted to build out additional improvements within the organization to help streamline its business and document processes.
FileNet's ECM solution, built on the strength and breadth of its FileNet P8 platform, offered NSCU a fully integrated solution that provides all the key components required to meet its content management and business process management needs, including:
- A secure, centralized content repository where all member-related information could be stored and easily and securely accessed online by multiple departments and branches across the organization
- A document capture tool to assist with migrating paper documentation into the central repository, where the images may be accessed by branch staff on demand
- An electronic forms tool to help streamline member documentation processes
- An integrated process engine to help streamline and automatically launch appropriate workflows
The focus of NSCU's ECM project is to streamline document-based business processes to provide service and communications improvements and cost savings that were previously locked within traditional business processes. NSCU's new project provides document imaging, workflow and electronic forms management to four primary business areas: New/Ongoing Membership/Account Management, Lending Services, Wealth Management and Mutual Funds.
Fred Cook, chief information officer at North Shore Credit Union, remarked, "We are extremely pleased with the FileNet-based solution. It gives us a great deal of satisfaction knowing that our entire organization - from employees through to our members - can benefit from implementing innovative technology solutions. The numerous benefits of our FileNet ECM system were seen almost immediately after implementation, from improved internal communications to enhanced member service. I credit our success to the dedication and leadership of the entire project team, and the strength of FileNet's technology. Without both of these critical success factors, we could not continue our drive for innovative excellence to achieve superior member service."
"NSCU is extremely committed to providing quality services throughout their entire organization," said Martyn Christian, chief marketing officer for FileNet. "We are proud that North Shore Credit Union has chosen our ECM solution as a key component of its drive for continued business process improvement and customer service excellence."
