D3 Banking Technology (D3), provider of one of the industry’s most advanced digital banking platforms, announced today that it is now a member of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN).

Its cloud-native digital banking platform can be deployed on AWS, resulting in lower costs, greater control and more rapid innovation for banks and credit unions.

Hosting D3’s platform on AWS gives financial institutions the ability to quickly and easily introduce new features and functionality while allowing them to innovate at a pace that works best for their unique institution and customer base. This is a stark contrast from platforms that are deployed on a multi-tenant SAAS environment, as those institutions are constrained to the same schedule as their peers. The control provided by deploying on AWS can allow institutions to deliver the digital experience customers and members want, when they want it.

“As large national institutions continue to get larger, regional and community banks and credit unions must be able to elevate and expand their digital offerings to compete; this is no longer an option, but an imperative,” explained Mark Vipond, CEO of D3 Banking Technology. “Our advanced digital banking platform can now be hosted on AWS, giving institutions the ability to control their own velocity of change. Financial institutions can now be in the driver’s seat, taking charge of their own digital destinies.”

This hosted option offers a cost-effective model, as institutions can easily scale up and down based on their individual digital user activity. Deploying on AWS also delivers new levels of security and disaster recovery, as it is backed by multiple data centers across the country. A D3 client institution is already successfully leveraging AWS and more are expected to migrate to this deployment model in the coming months.

“We’ve leveraged AWS internally for several years now, and we’re excited to offer our clients the option to deploy our platform through this cloud provider too, as it enables new levels of differentiation and control,” Vipond added. “We currently have clients that are deploying new releases with ease on a monthly basis, and by leveraging AWS for our hosting services, all of our clients will be able to do the same. By controlling their own velocity of updates and change, banks and credit unions are well positioned to successfully compete and win market share in the modern banking landscape.”
