BLIK will contribute to the partnership a reliable mobile and online payment user experience, and consumer trust. Mastercard will bring its innovative payment technology, internationally-recognized brand and global acceptance.

Together, Mastercard and BLIK will provide the ease of contactless payments to BLIK users at all Mastercard branded terminals globally, leveraging Mastercard virtual debit cards tokenized by Mastercard Digital Enablement Services (MDES). This will provide BLIK consumers the most convenient POS payment user experience including global contactless acceptance.

Additionally, Mastercard and Polish Payment Standard will open up cross-border e-commerce acceptance using recently-published Secure Remote Commerce standards (SRC), when available in market. This will allow BLIK consumers to use BLIK for global e-commerce payments.

Mastercard and Polish Payment Standard will also collaborate on BLIK expansion into new markets by acquiring consumers in countries outside Poland.
