A client for more than 15 years, Aviva's life insurance and annuities policies run on CSC's VANTAGE-ONE and LIFE/70 administration software applications. Under the three-year extension, CSC will provide comprehensive management and production support for these systems, which will enable the company to continue to simplify information technology (IT) maintenance and quickly launch new products.

"CSC has helped us bring some of our most successful new products to market," said Kathy Veracka, Aviva assistant vice president of IT Enterprise Systems. "This extension will allow Aviva to continue to deliver exceptional client service and free us to concentrate on other strategic business goals."

CSC is a leader in providing applications management services to insurance carriers worldwide. The company's managed applications support more than five million life insurance policies, annuities and pensions, representing $3.5 billion in annual premium, and more than three million property and casualty insurance policies, representing $4 billion in annual premium.

"We have provided skilled resources and world-class data center operations to Aviva since 1990," said Michael W. Risley, president of the Life and Annuity Division of CSC's Financial Services Group. "We're confident that our extensive experience in IT outsourcing and financial services will enable us to continue delivering outstanding results for Aviva."
