Today, Klarna, a leading global payments provider, announced a new collaboration with Gravity Blanket, creator of weighted blankets and sleep products engineered to naturally reduce stress and increase relaxation.

Shoppers will now be able to use Klarna’s Slice it and brand-new Slice it in 4 products, which allow consumers to pay for their products in installments.

“By helping consumers purchase their items over time, we can improve the buying journey,” said Michael Rouse, Chief Commercial Officer of Klarna. “Our latest research shows that the shopping industry is adopting new payment technology enthusiastically due to consumers’ demand for increased flexibility and financial control. With many retailers already introducing smart payment options, it’s great to see forward-thinking brands, like Gravity Blanket, acknowledging this and making changes to align with shoppers needs.”

Both Slice it and Slice it in 4 allow shoppers to increase their purchasing power without interest. Using Klarna’s online consumer financing, shoppers can Slice it at checkout and easily spread the cost of their purchase over 3 - 36 monthly time periods. The product has an easy 4-step credit application process and real-time decisioning. With the new Slice it in 4 product, four equal payments are automatically collected from the consumer’s chosen method of payment – one installment at purchase and three further payments every two weeks. With no redirects to other sites, both purchase journeys are smoooth and frictionless.

“We do everything we can to offer an outstanding shopping experience and give our consumers a more convenient and less stressful way to shop. We believe our products are worth the investment and understand that offering flexible financing options will be integral to our brand success,” said Mike Grillo, Co-Founder and President of Gravity Products. “Between busy schedules, constant notifications, and growing stressors, many of us are struggling to fall asleep. In fact, the CDC estimates that 50M+ adults in the U.S. have chronic sleep and wakefulness disorders. By partnering with Klarna for Slice it and Slice it in 4, we’re providing consumers with the power to purchase our engineered sleep products over time, without limiting their ability due to price, and therefore, sleep soundly.”
