TradeIX opens office in Singapore

In line with its global expansion plans and its commitment to the Asia Pacific Region, TradeIX is pleased to announce the opening of its office in Singapore as well as two key appointments.

Eugene Buckley has been appointed as Business Development Executive, Asia Pacific. In this role, Eugene will oversee the development of client relationships in the region. Eugene brings to this role close to 15 years of experience in trade finance and financial markets, most recently as Head of Trade Innovation and Alliances at Standard Chartered Bank.

Eugene Buckley stated: “Asia Pacific is one of the fastest growing regions in trade finance and our presence in Singapore is crucial for our current and future bank clients. The strategy of TradeIX is to continue our focus on expanding our client relationships in Asia Pacific.”

The company’s presence in Singapore is part of the global development plan, and the firm is pleased to also announce the appointment of Leon Scott as Head of APAC Operations. In this role, Leon will oversee the delivery of TradeIX solutions and projects to clients in the region as well as the growth of existing trade finance activities and relationships. Leon Scott has a strong background in trade and commodities finance, banking and supply chain management. Prior to TradeIX, Leon was a Director at PrimeRevenue where he was responsible for the company’s global capital markets product.
