By enabling business customers to securely conduct a broader range of online banking functions in a single, seamless session, this latest SSO product offering strengthens the ability of Digital Insight client financial institutions to become the preferred financial management hub of business customers and generate new areas of fee income.

"The vast majority of businesses in the United States are small businesses which can benefit from procuring cost efficient online products and services through their primary financial institution," said Digital Insight Director of Cash Management Bryan Laws. "By procuring single sign-on capabilities from Digital Insight, our clients optimize their ability to present a uniformly branded online presence where a full range of products and services, including those form third-party providers, are seamlessly made available for purchase without requiring a separate password. This new capability will help Digital Insight banks and credit unions not only gain a greater share of wallet, it will help them become the wallet itself."

Digital Insight's Business Banking platform includes a range of comprehensive cash management solutions that helps businesses manage their accounts, understand their cash position, make payments to their vendors, process payroll and take advantage of automatic account alerts and sweeps.

SSO provides business customers the ability to securely move between online products and services within the online presence of their Digital Insight bank or credit union without repeatedly logging in. Such seamless, secure access promotes greater speed and efficiency when using online offerings such as payroll services, online statements, Bill Payment and Presentment, Secure Chat, and Secure Support. An additional benefit to the institution is that these services are accessed through a brand-unified Web presence: a Digital Insight financial institution's online channel.

"The single sign-on capability really opens the door for Digital Insight to expand the types of products and services made readily available to business customers by our client financial institutions," added Laws. "From online ordering services to investment or insurance products and services, industry research indicates that positioning a bank or credit union as the preferred financial hub clearly benefits the financial institution."

According to a report form Forrester Research, Inc., online purchasing by businesses is on the rise and as medium size businesses begin to use eProcurement of services, small businesses will need to take further advantage of this technology to remain competitive.

"Digital Insight continues to bring clients the best-of-breed products, capabilities and support they need to serve their customers and improve their business results in markets with attractive growth potential," said Digital Insight Chairman, President and CEO Jeff Stiefler. "Our new single sign-on capabilities for Business Banking improve the market potential of our business banking solutions by helping our clients deliver a superior online experience to business users."
