This agreement will strengthen JWARE's commercial and support presence in the region especially in Saudi Arabia and Iran, two of the most promising markets in the region. "I am very pleased with this agreement," said Tanya Heath, Director of Marketing and Partnerships for JWARE Technologies. "The fact that a company whose founders have such breadth and depth of the payment market in the region have chosen to work with JWARE above all other vendors is immensely gratifying and a strong signal that the market recognizes the JWARE value proposition. Abbrevia are extremely credible and effective and they already represent some very well-known products and solutions."

Abbrevia's evaluation of potential products and the decision in favour of the JWARE platform, was driven by their intimate knowledge of the market dynamics within the region including recent consolidation in the EFT Switch product sector, migration of ATMs from OS/2 to Windows and the migration to EMV chip cards. "Given these fundamental shifts occurring within the payments processing arena, the ability to help our customers to exploit new payments opportunities such as Retail commerce and leap-frog to newly emerging standards such as EMV and IFX based on a next-generation J2EE/Java EFT switch platform was a critical factor," said Osman Mehta, Chief Technology Officer for Abbrevia.
