Sparebanken Øst has renewed its agreement for a complete portfolio of banking solutions for self-service banking, bank branch offices and core banking functions. EDB will also provide operating services for banking solutions and services for banking production.

"We are very satisfied to have agreed this contract. In addition to continuing our good relationship with EDB, we want to strengthen and develop our collaboration over the course of this new agreement", comments Arve Hoven, Deputy Managing Director of Sparebanken Øst.

"Sparebanken Øst has been a customer of EDB for over 30 years. We very much appreciate the confidence the bank has shown in us by choosing to continue our collaboration into the future. This contract confirms that EDB's solutions and operating services are competitive in the market", comments Petter I. Jenssen, EVP - Solutions at EDB.

The new contract with Sparebanken Øst will run from 1 January 2006 until 31 December 2011. This contract replaces the current agreement, which was due to expire on 31 December 2006.

"EDB has shown a pro-active and professional approach to the renegotiation process, and has clearly demonstrated its ability to satisfy our future needs for solutions and services. This new contract with EDB gives us the security and reliability that we need as a bank. We look forward to working closely with EDB in the years ahead", adds Arve Hoven of Sparebanken Øst.
