Trema, the leading provider of treasury and asset management software for corporations and financial institutions, has extended the breadth of its cash management offering to cover the entire financial supply chain with the addition of two class-leading payment modules – Financial eXchange Server (FXS) and ReconFact Server (RFS) – from Netherlands-based cash and invoice management specialist Global Payments and Collections (GP&C).

Trema will be granted initial responsibility for three customers including Shell Treasury Centre Limited to sub-license and support the FXS software as part of the deal. In addition, Trema's superior offering with FXS, a leading payment factory solution, and RFS, an advanced automated invoice/payment checking system, will form an integral part of its technology portfolio for both existing and future customers across the globe.

RFS offers some of the most advanced reconciliation matching software available today. Teamed with Trema's existing cash and treasury functionality, the additional modules will enhance the ability for large organisations to manage their working capital and financial value chain faster and more accurately, and thus far more efficiently than via many enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Providing powerful accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation, the module has extremely strong exception handling capabilities, reducing the need for manual input and increasing the percentage of automation in the process. Despite their power, the tools seamlessly integrate with existing ERP and financial systems.

Robert Wennerström, Regional Vice President and General Manager, Northern Europe, for Trema, said: "This agreement with GP&C underlines our commitment to seeking out best-of-breed technologies that complement our existing offerings, and respond directly to the varied needs and operational complexities of today's treasurers. Trema is dedicated to developing treasury management solutions that keep pace with industry demands."

He added: "Combining GP&C's high throughput payment factory and reconciliation capability with our enterprise-class treasury management suite is a powerful proposition. Together, we are taking the concept of payment, collection and reconciliation to new levels."

"This is an extremely exciting partnership for GP&C, and Trema's expertise and thought leadership in the financial supply chain will ensure our customers receive integration and support at the highest level," observed Robert van Dongen, Managing Director at GP&C. "With class-leading treasury management capabilities mixed with intelligent reconciliation and powerful exception handling, customers will be getting the best of both worlds for treasury and cash management."
