NRW.Bank went live on 7.11 with the Market Data Engine BSP ProDB.
BSP ProDB uploads, displays and consolidates all market data delivered by Wertpapier-Mitteilungen (WM). BSP ProDB also converts and stores the data into user-defined structures, such as e.g. XML, csv files or data base tables where it is available for further NRW.Bank systems.
In the next project phases, the use of BSP ProDB at NRW.Bank will be extended.
This will allow the data concerning the own securities of the bank (internal types), that are not supplied by WM, to be entered by the back-office in flexible user-defined screens and thereafter maintained. Thus the bank will in the future monitor all securities data in a central database hub where the data is ready to use by other systems via flexible interfaces.
