Mastercard today announced that Masterpass is available on Air Canada.com and vacations.aircanada.com, helping travelers get from booking to vacation-mode even faster.

Air Canada joins a rapidly expanding roster of travel sites offering fast, easy and secure digital payment with Masterpass.

“Air Canada is committed to continually enhancing the entire travel experience, including making it as easy as possible for customers to make purchases from Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations. Masterpass will save customers time by enabling them to speedily complete purchases online,” said Duncan Bureau, Vice President, Global Sales at Air Canada.

Masterpass stores all payment information, including card details from both Mastercard and other payment networks, and shipping information in one convenient, secure place. All purchasing information is readily accessible when shoppers click on the Masterpass button at checkout and sign into their account.

“Shoppers are looking for a quick, safe purchase experience when shopping online,” said Iain McLean, Senior Vice President, Canada Market Development at Mastercard. “With Masterpass, travelers have fewer steps and forms to fill out, leaving them more time to plan a dream travel experience.”

With Masterpass, shoppers can pay for the things they want with the security they demand at more than 340,000 merchants online and in-app, and at more than 6 million merchant locations in approximately 96 countries.
