Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, announced the launch of BaNCS App Development Kit (ADK) that enables Banks to design and build their own Apps faster and seamlessly deploy across devices and desktops.

Digital technologies are empowering people and businesses to get things done interactively and instantaneously. It is increasingly becoming critical for financial institutions to have architectures that will enable continuous availability of data, systems, applications and business processes. Such an architecture allows enterprises to completely reimagine different aspects of their businesses. The core of this need is to have an App Development Environment that can let banks reimagine their business processes, products and services as a series of Enterprise and Consumer Apps with the necessary connectivity to the back-end core systems.

"Today’s digital world has compelled banks to deliver improved customer experiences to individuals and small businesses, and they’ve got to continually improve these offerings as customer expectations change” said Dan Latimore, Celent’s Senior Vice President for Banking. “Enabling the business - people like product managers and business analysts - to be the prime designer, rather than tossing the projects over the wall to design firms, platform providers and IT, will be a quicker path to value. Better efficiency, effectiveness, and speed are the results when the business can configure solutions on its own.”

Commenting on the launch, Sathish Vallat, Head of TCS BaNCS Digital said "We envision apps to supplant browser-based interfaces — not just on mobile phones, tablets, kiosks, IoT-connected devices, but also on desktop PCs in a single code base. The vision for BaNCS ADK is to transfer flexibility and speed of development to the Bank, leveraging a library of business aware financial widgets and components."
About BaNCS Application Development Kit
BaNCS ADK enables financial institutions to build their digital offerings to an extraordinary degree without the need for mobile development skills. Financial Institutions can deliver rich omni channel experiences using pre-built widgets and components that are domain-aware with the underlying functionality.

BaNCS ADK helps banks to design and deploy both enterprise and consumer Apps in a hybrid architecture adopting modern principles of Responsive web design, via a form factoring design that is simple and intuitive. While BaNCS ADK comes with its own array of widgets, controls and components, the bank can add their existing or new widgets at will and has the opportunity to open it to their ecosystem and let them develop their own Apps consuming the banks published widgets.

Drag-and-drop features and adapters quickly build, configure, and rollout apps that work with core banking and other systems. The pre-built Widgets and Components are based on a data model inspired by Interactive Financial eXchange (IFX) which allows users to gain an easy understanding of the widgets and their configurability. The highlight is the ease and power to launch aps which will seamlessly refresh and upgrade across its user base.
