Digital money transfer service WorldRemit is now available in Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, expanding its partnership with CONTACT payment system.

Recently WorldRemit launched new money transfer corridors across Russia in collaboration with the oldest Russian Payment System CONTACT. Now, the service has been scaled up to CIS-markets. WorldRemit users can now send money to be collected as cash pick up at more than 3,000 locations in Ukraine, 330 POS in Kazakhstan, 120 POS in Belarus and 65 POS in Armenia.

With the WorldRemit app or website, people in more than 50 countries can send instant, secure money transfers to more than 125 destinations. Known as the ‘WhatsApp of money’, WorldRemit makes sending a remittance as easy as sending an instant message.

Ismail Ahmed, founder and CEO at WorldRemit, comments: “Many migrants living abroad work hard to support family members back home in Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Until now, they’ve had to endure the inconvenience and high fees from visiting offline money transfer agents. Now with the WorldRemit app, they have a simple, convenient and safe way to send money to their local communities.”

Elena Gafarova, vice-president for international development at CONTACT system, says: “We are filled with enthusiasm to spread our joint service with WorldRemit to the other popular remittances directions with a vast CONTACT network. Now, more people from CIS countries are able to enjoy sending money using advanced digital and mobile technologies like the WorldRemit app. Our service is a great opportunity to show off the advantages of digital remittances technologies in cash-dominated areas”.

New comers still try to conquer the busy Ukrainian card to card transfers. But there are a lot of alternatives to use when transferring money to Ukraine. I can remember Transferwise, Transfergo, LiqPay, Opal, WU, MG, Swit and so on. Usually use Ukrainian startup that provided a convenient solution https://fine.money
