By reinforcing security in e-commerce, EastWest Bank will contribute to develop this business domain and increase customer trust.

The 3D-Secure dynamic protocol is one of the key solutions to secure e-commerce transactions and relies on an ACS in the issuing domain. The ACS authenticates the cardholder during the transaction with a strong authentication method.

Among the large range of strong authentication methods included in Worldline’s ACS, EastWest Bank has selected the one-time password (OTP), sent by SMS to the cardholder, for its easy implementation and deployment.

Jacqueline S. Fernandez, EVP and Head, Consumer Lending Cluster at East West Bank says: “Online payment is one of the pillars for growth for EastWest Bank. With the market space changing rapidly, it is important to us to have a solution that we can trust to grow with us. We are proud to have selected a partner like Worldline and the ACS solution”.

Tee Kee Ming, CEO Worldline APAC said: “Worldline APAC is very pleased with the successful adoption of WL Access Control Server (ACS) solution by EastWest Bank. Worldline APAC has established a very strong partnership with EastWest Bank through our Managed Card Services platform to process EastWest bank card issuance since 2008. It confirms the continuous international development of Worldline 3D-Secure leadership across all our regions.”
