ACI Worldwide (ACIW), a leading global provider of real-time electronic payment and banking solutions, today announced that it is expanding its presence in Florida—with a continuation of senior-level and business function hires—at its Naples-based global headquarters.
To commemorate the expansion, ACI executives including President and CEO Phil Heasley joined the Honorable Rick Scott, Governor of Florida, for an event at ACI’s Naples office earlier today.
ACI is one of the Gulf Coast’s largest companies by revenue, ranked 28 on the 2015 Gulf Coast 500. It is also ranked No. 18 on the latest IDC Financial Insights 2016 FinTech Rankings, the annual list of the world’s largest financial technology companies judged according to their global revenues.
Governor Rick Scott said, “I am proud to announce that ACI Worldwide has selected Naples as the best location to expand its operations, which will create 57 new jobs for families in Collier county. We were competing with Nebraska for these jobs, but ultimately ACI chose Florida. We will continue working with state and local partners to make sure Florida is first for jobs. I look forward to seeing ACI Worldwide’s success in Florida.”
“This is great news for Southwest Florida and our state’s IT industry,” said Mike Grissom, Executive Vice President, Enterprise Florida, Inc. “These new jobs will be a great addition to Florida’s IT sector and ACI Worldwide’s decision to keep those positions here is great news for the region. We look forward to watching ACI grow in our state.”
Cissy Proctor, Executive Director of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, said, “ACI Worldwide’s expansion in Southwest Florida is great news for local jobseekers. We are committed to continuing economic development and workforce investments in Florida that enable us to be more competitive for companies like ACI Worldwide as they grow.”
“The expansion of the ACI Worldwide corporate headquarters brings high-value jobs to Naples and is another example of growing our local economic base through our business retention/expansion program,” said Kristi Bartlett, vice president of economic development for the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.
“We are excited that ACI invested in Collier County and continues to see our community and our people as a great investment,” said Commissioner Penny Taylor, whose district includes ACI Worldwide’s headquarters. “When projects like this come before the Board, we want to endorse them because we know the return for our community is going to be so great. We thank Governor Scott and Enterprise Florida for allowing us to partner in this endeavour.”
“Naples, the Gulf Coast and the State of Florida provide tremendous opportunities to companies with operations here. And this burgeoning region is fast becoming a major technology hub due to its universities and growing pool of top talent,” said Phil Heasley, president and CEO, ACI Worldwide. “Our own continued growth and success—both in Florida and globally—validate the region’s strengths and we look forward to further expanding our footprint here.”
