Millions of businesses and entrepreneurs are gearing up for one of their most important periods of the year – the holiday season.

In fact in the third quarter, PayPal saw approximately a third of all total payment volume on mobile. For many small businesses, the ability to keep track of their operations - invoices, payments, refunds, withdrawals, customer lists, balances - amidst a large spike in activity, is critical and increasingly mobile.

To extend PayPal’s merchant services to millions of small businesses who need easy access to their account on the go, today we’re announcing availability of the new PayPal Business app, offering businesses an easy way to manage their PayPal account activity wherever business takes them.

The new PayPal Business app enables businesses to:

Get paid easily by creating and sending customized invoices
Manage account activity while on the go
View all your customer information in one place

The app is available now in the U.S. on iOS and Android and will be available in other regions in 2017.

We’re excited to launch this version focusing on the above features and we’ll continue to add new functionality giving merchants greater flexibility and control to manage their business in an increasingly mobile world. This app serves as an example of how PayPal is continuing to help all businesses grow and thrive - especially during peak shopping seasons.

Last year, we processed 4.9 billion transactions, and we currently have 192 million active customer accounts on our platform. We partner with businesses across the globe in aiding everything from payments processing to inventory services to providing credit for both businesses and consumers making transactions.

Now PayPal is helping to streamline the key processes needed to run a business successfully by adding the PayPal Business app to its portfolio of mobile app offerings. PayPal’s three apps - PayPal consumer app, PayPal Business and PayPal Here™ app - represent how we’re extending our capabilities to meet specific customer needs. Below are more details on the apps:
