Worldline [Euronext: WLN], through its equensWorldline subsidiary specialized in financial processing, and the association of Sparda-Banken e.V. have extend their cooperation up to the end of 2022.
equensWorldline supports the association and the twelve Sparda-Banken in extending their product range and enabling their customers to use digital services, in addition to the regular branch business. This primarily includes the digital wallet solution MasterPass Wallet.
Banks have to keep up with the digital transformation and must adapt to the requests of their customers. The Sparda-Banken Group may look forward to a partnership that offers the best of both worlds: future-oriented online banking supported by an experienced human workforce, whenever clients need it. Customers should be able to access online banking at any time with any device and in real time or to telephone the Customer Contact Center, which provides personal contact for several services. In this way, equensWorldline supports Sparda-Banken in their transformation into a digital branch bank.

Worldline has been a service provider for Sparda-Banken since 2012 and provides extensive credit card services to the Association. This includes technical processing with authorization services, account management, card and PIN management, as well as card personalization. Furthermore, the company cares about chargeback processing and fraud detection, as well as fraud processing.
Next to credit card services, the Sparda-Banken Association also uses WL Wallet solution. Using this technical platform, credit card owners may use MasterCard’s MasterPass payment-technology. This payment method has now been integrated into Sparda-Banken’s online banking. Customers take advantage of the possibility of doing online transactions in a single click without being obliged to register with the online shop of the respective merchant. At present, some 600 merchants provide payment via MasterPass.
