Spire Payments, one of the world’s leading Fintech payment solution providers, has again demonstrated its market leading mobile payments experience by working in collaboration with EURO 6000 to launch an innovative mPOS solution called ‘Pinpago’ in Spain.

Pinpago EURO 6000 utilises Spire Payments’ latest mPOS device, the SPm20. The device is enabled by a bespoke payment mobile app which is downloaded to the merchant’s smart device of choice (phone or tablet) allowing payment transactions to be performed with ease for all major credit and debit cards (VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa Electron, V-Pay and JCB).

EURO 6000 is one of the most proactive associate banks in Spain. The entry with Pinpago into the mPOS space is a natural progression and will ensure EURO 6000 can deliver the very latest payment technologies to its customers, especially smaller merchants who previously did not take card payments.

The SPm20 is a versatile mobile payment platform which can be used by the micro merchant and in environments demanding higher throughput (SME and Tier 1 & 2 retailers).

Incorporating EMV chip & PIN, contactless and NFC capability (payWave, PayPass certified) the SPm20 delivers an all-in-one mobile payment solution. The SPm20 meets the latest PCI security requirements, while also supporting Spire Payments’ comprehensive Linux-based inSPire development environment, enabling lightning-speed application development. The SPm20 is compatible with all 4 major smart device operating systems (Android, Apple iOS, Windows Mobile and Blackberry) ensuring ultimate flexibility.

Luis Alvarez-Cascos, Director of Marketing for EURO 6000 says of the announcement, “EURO 6000 see Pinpago mPOS as a key part of our growth strategy and the selection of Spire Payments to provide the best platform for our Pinpago project is a significant milestone in this journey. Our selection process was based on multiple demanding factors including security, robustness, long battery life and simplicity of use. The Spire Payments’ solution met all these requirements, while also delivering speed to market thanks to the powerful development environment. We look forward to working together in the coming years to deliver many more value-add services to our small merchants.“

Kazem Aminaee, CEO and President of Spire Payments, adds, “Spire Payments has a long-standing relationship with EURO 6000 and the announcement today that our mPOS platform has successfully passed customer certification and will be deployed under the Pinpago brand is very exciting. Spire Payments is extremely proactive in the mobile payments space, and combining our global expertise with EURO 6000s market presence will undoubtedly result in significant mPOS deployments across Spain”
