iZettle, one of the fastest growing technology companies in Europe and EMEA, today launches intelligentpos, a leading cloud-based point of sale solution for shops, bars and restaurants, in Germany.
The launch is intelligentpos’ first foray outside of the UK and into Europe, and follows hot on the heels of iZettle’s acquisition of intelligentpos in September. It is part of the iZettle’s mission to move beyond payments and create a ‘one-stop-shop for commerce’.
With the help of intelligentpos, iZettle is now able to provide small businesses across Germany with an integrated payment and point of sale solution that allows them to take card payments and use hundreds of different features on the point of sale app to help them manage and grow their businesses.
Aimed at iZettle’s fastest growing users, intelligentpos offers advanced point of sales features including; table management, which gives restaurants a bird’s eye view of their tables and helps them provide a higher level of service; stock management, which helps merchants make sure they never run out of their customers’ favourite products; and advance reporting that helps users make informed decisions about their business.
Jacob de Geer, CEO at iZettle says, “Four years ago, iZettle launched in Germany to empower small business owners with the tools necessary to help them accept card payments in an easy way.
“One year ago we added another string to our bow, offering small businesses hassle-free access to financing with iZettle Advance, and in September we acquired intelligentpos, a market leading cloud-based point of sale to give small businesses access to even more business critical financial services.
“We’ve worked hard with the team at intelligentpos to scale quickly and the launch of intelligentpos in Germany today takes iZettle further in its mission to provide small businesses globally with the business services they need to work less, live better and earn more.”
Graeme Horsfall, General Manager of intelligentpos, adds, “The launch into Germany has been made possible by joining forces with iZettle and it is tremendously exciting to see our software being rolled out across Europe within a month of the acquisition happening. It has meant a lot of hard work, but there is a great team mentality here and the sense of a job well done.”
