Domestic debit cards will now be accepted by POS terminal provided by PayTipper, generating PagoBANCOMAT® transactions in Italy.

The Payment Institution is among the first non-bank entities to obtain the acquiring license on the domestic Debit Scheme. Activating the PagoBANCOMAT® circuit is part of the strategic and technological innovation set out by PayTipper. The new IT platform that manages electronic payment transactions enables both complete integration with international acquirers and direct control on the PagoBANCOMAT® payments.

For the technological infrastructure PayTipper chose the terminal management service of TAS Group’s cashless3.0™ platform. In this way, PayTipper confirms their growth in the Payments market, adding another element to their strategy focused on increasing the end-customers’ choice on payment instruments.

“TAS Group has proven once again to be the major Point of Reference for every type of Payment Service Provider,” said Roberto Carlucci, e-Money’s Business Unit Director at TAS Group. He went on to add, “The technological partnership with PayTipper is in line with our strategic objectives. We see important areas of development supported by PSD2 for all PSPs in the acquiring sector, who need flexible and innovative solutions to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing and highly competitive market.”

Merchants who already own a PayTipper POS, or those who will adopt it in the future to accept generic payments and/or bank and postal bulletins, will be able to switch to the domestic circuit instead of the International Debit scheme already managed by the terminals so far.

The integrated solution, which includes acquiring and technological platform, can be adopted in national and international contexts, allowing the Italian or foreign merchant to accept payments, either through the major international circuits (MasterCard, Maestro, Visa and VPAY), or through the PagoBANCOMAT® one.

In parallel with the development of the technological and acquiring solution, PayTipper has expanded its sales network, making it grow both geographically and qualitatively, providing business expertise in payments within the individual commercial activities.

Angelo Grampa, CEO of PayTipper, declares: “Obtaining the PagoBANCOMAT® acquiring license and activating our terminals on the circuit falls, once again, in the strategic development project aimed at improving the quality of services both to merchants and to citizens. Also PayTipper intends to be a partner for companies and networks, providing a wide range of "turnkey" payment services that meet the needs of partners, ensuring ease of use, flexibility, completeness and maximum security.”
