Linedata (NYSE Euronext: LIN), the global solutions provider dedicated to the investment management and credit industries, today announced that Lemanik Asset Management, the leading independent asset manager on the Luxembourg market, with USD 20 billion of assets held in 230 sub-funds, has chosen Linedata’s compliance monitoring software: Linedata Compliance.
To comply with the UCITS and AIFM directives, which impose rigorous controls and strict transparency discipline, asset managers need a risk management system and investment restrictions set-up that can be adapted to changing regulatory requirements and that minimises operational risk. In view of the strengthening of regulatory constraints and the growing number of funds under its responsibility, Lemanik Asset Management has decided to manage its report production by itself. To achieve a rapid turnaround for this project, the company came to Linedata to ensure the efficient roll-out of our powerful technology. Since the start of the year, several management companies have opted for the same technology as Lemanik Asset Management, choosing Linedata Compliance to optimise their compliance monitoring.
Operating in real time, Linedata Compliance enables Lemanik Asset Management teams to obtain detailed monitoring of investment restrictions and alerts, which may relate to regulatory or legal constraints, or restrictions imposed by the management company, while keeping an eye on any exceptions. Lemanik Asset Management uses this tool to tailor its service to its own requirements and to operate a finely delineated segmentation of the services offered to its clients.
“Linedata’s teams were able to understand our needs and offer us a tool for assessing risks and controls. We can export the results and use them to produce our reports. This tool is flexible, easy-to-use and fully customisable. Linedata’s proximity to Luxembourg and its delivery experience team were also key factors in our choice. Thanks to Linedata’s Compliance solution, we have further optimised our management of operational risks”, explains Jennifer Collin, Risk Manager, with responsibility for investment restrictions at Lemanik Asset Management.
“We are delighted to have worked so closely with the teams of Lemanik Asset Management. The success of this project in a very short space of time is mainly due to the rigorous management by the competent and committed teams of both partners” commented Henri Berthe, who has responsibility for Linedata’s compliance monitoring products in Europe. “The choice of Linedata Compliance by Lemanik Asset Management makes our solution one of the leading tools in the Luxembourg financial sector and across all international markets, where it is already used by more than 70 clients.”
