Visa customers can use Apple Pay with the hundreds of thousands of contactless point of sale terminals which are already used millions of times every day throughout Europe. This means that Visa cardholders from participating banks in the UK and soon France and Switzerland will have an easy, secure and private way to pay with their mobile device, both at home and abroad.

Sandra Alzetta - Executive Director, Product Enablement, Visa Europe, commented: “We are living in an age of exponential innovation, giving consumers access to highly intuitive new ways to pay for the things they want, every day. Visa Europe is delighted to bring Apple Pay to customers in France and Switzerland so they can make easy and secure payments with their favourite Visa card.”
