nCino, the leader in cloud banking, announced today that $3.2 billion-asset Wright-Patt Credit Union (WPCU) has selected its Bank Operating System to automate, streamline and measure business lending.

The Ohio-based credit union recently began to see the value in growing its business lending and, with new investments in people and technology, expects to significantly expand its portfolio over the next few years. To foster this growth, WPCU needed to reconcile integrating data from multiple sources and also better identify process bottlenecks when they occurred. nCino’s Bank Operating System gives WPCU an automated, comprehensive platform that combines customer relationship management (CRM), business process management and reporting, all within a single cloud environment. It will solve for the credit union’s data rendering and workflow challenges, while also enabling it to more effectively measure performance consistency and manage its loan pipeline and prospecting.

“If member business lending is done the right way, it’s the perfect reflection of what credit unions already set out to do: positively influence their community,” said Scott Everett, vice president of member business services at WPCU. “We have the opportunity to support area job growth while helping members keep their business investments local; it creates for us a lifecycle presence with our members. Because nCino is built by lenders for lenders, the company understands what we need to be successful. The Bank Operating System allows us to focus on the right tasks, and frees up our team to serve members and grow their business with us.”

WPCU will also utilize nCino’s Customer Portal to better engage with members. Through Customer Portal, members will be empowered with a transparent view into their loan lifecycle, alerting them to the status of loans and allowing them to upload necessary documents from any location. This consumer-facing gateway provides them with direct access to the WPCU loan team, expediting general loan workflow and creating a more connected loan experience.

Josh Glover, senior vice president of community and regional financial institutions at nCino, explained, “Business member lending is a powerful opportunity for credit unions to grow their portfolios and expand the ways in which they serve members. Institutions with talented employees like Wright-Patt Credit Union greatly benefit from technology that frees lenders from laborious manual tasks, allowing them to focus on activities that grow the business and boost the member experience. ”
