NatWest became the first UK bank to allow customers to log into their mobile banking app using fingerprint technology, Touch ID. There are almost one million logins every day, with customers making over five million individual payments a month.

As well as checking balances and making payments, customers can use the mobile app to withdraw cash when they don't have their debit card and to pay contacts using just their mobile number.

Martin Wise, NatWest Director Digital Channels, said: “Our customers love our market leading mobile app and it’s fantastic to know we are helping four million users to bank on the move.”

The mobile app is available on iPhone, Android, Windows and Blackberry phones.
