Ugo Mobile Solutions L.P (UGO) today announced the launch of its Host Card Emulation (HCE) solution and the adoption of Visa's global standard tokenisation technology for the Ugo Wallet app for Android.
"By adopting these technologies we have improved the customer experience – making it easier and faster – when loading TD Visa credit cards into the UGO Wallet app," said Alec Morley, CEO of UGO. "This move also enables us to extend secure mobile payment functionality to more customers on more devices."
UGO Wallet, for Android devices running on operating system version 4.4 or higher, will now use encrypted tokens during mobile Visa payment transactions. This will provide a quicker and seamless experience for customers when adding eligible TD Visa credit cards and making purchases with their phone wherever contactless payment terminals are available.
And for additional convenience, a UGO Wallet widget will allow users to launch UGO Wallet mobile payments with one touch.
