Customer service bot startup Digital genius raises $4.1 million

DigitalGenius, the Level39 member which delivers an automated customer service platform based on AI and NLP, has raised $4.1 million from a group of institutional investors to broaden the adoption of its customer service bots.

In addition - the company has launched its Human+AI platform which automates routine conversations, delivering intelligent answers in collaboration with human agents.

The new investors include BloombergBeta, NovelTmT, Salesforce Ventures, Singularity Investments and Spider Capital - adding to a list of existing investors Lerer-Hippeau Ventures, Lowercase Capital, Metamorphic Ventures, RRE Ventures.

The company, which also has an office in New York, has raised $7.35m in total funding.

“There’s a significant shift in how companies respond to and communicate with their customers, thanks to the emergence of mobile messaging and social media,” said Mikhail Naumov, Chief Strategy Officer at DigitalGenius.
