Worldline gets environmental certification for its data centres

Worldline, European market leader in payments and transactional services, has obtained the ISO 14001 certification in respect of the environment for all of its offices with more than 500 people and its Data Centres.

The internationally acknowledged ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification recognises companies that have adopted environmental responsible practices in their business processes. In line with its sustainability strategy, Worldline undertakes to minimize its environmental footprint by increasing its energy efficiency and to continuously improve measures taken to protect the environment and people when serving customers and providing agreed technical services.

As early as 2008 Worldline launched the ISO 14001 certification process covering its main locations. The company’s locations in Brussels, Dassault and Vendome are already certified and now Frankfurt’s, Blois and Seclin La Pointe are joining them. The certification means that Worldline ensures that its effective Environmental Management System is applied for all relevant procedures with customers and service suppliers.

Sebastien Mandron, Corporate Social Responsibility Officer, said: “The achievement of this certification is part of our environmental commitment to leverage the eco efficiency of our data centers and offices and is a key milestone in the company’s engagement to be a leader in its industries with an outstanding environmental performance. This important step on our environmental roadmap, allow us to deliver optimum results for our customers and staff in conformity with local environmental regulations and high level of quality thanks to the adoption of responsible practices.”
