Donner & Reuschel uses the fund administration software Diamos-F and additional modules Diamos InvestmentCompliance and Diamos Reconciliation in conjunction with a model 2 implementation.
With the Circular for Depositary Banks of 08/2015 (WA), the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) once more defined the tasks and duties of depositaries according to Chapter 1, Section 3 of the German capital investment code (KaGB). In view of its strategic direction, each depositary has to decide whether they prefer evaluation model 1 – with access to the technical systems of the capital administration companies, or model 2 with its own shadow accounting system (or a combination model). The private bank Donner & Reuschel, in this regard, has decided on implementing the depositary model 2 and choosing Diamos as their software partner.
The components of Diamos’ depositary solution include the fund accounting system Diamos-F and the modules on investment compliance, as well as for reconciliation. This fully integrated solution offers a flexible concept with modern technologies and open, established standards. Interfaces and web services are individually configurable and guarantee a quick application into existing IT landscapes as well as a smooth, automated interaction with other systems.
“With Diamos AG‘s modular software range we have found a flexible solution that supplies exactly the right scope of functions we require to further expand our role as depositary, while meeting our high quality standards. That it was reasonably priced came as a pleasant surprise. What fully convinced us, however, was the additional service from the data processing center, which enabled us to handle our operations via Diamos in a time-saving and cost efficient manner,“ according to Markus Neuburger, Head of Equity responsible for Custody Service, at Donner & Reuschel. Diamos is equally delighted about the depositary client. Derenik Grigorian, CIO of Diamos AG, among others, responsible for product management, says “With the introduction of Diamos-F at Donner & Reuschel, we are applying our “best-practice” package to depositaries.”
