Chicago-based Rival Systems (Rival), a trading software company established last year, today announced that users of its Rival Trader platform can now access the full range of listed products on Eurex, the international derivatives marketplace.
The move is the first step in the company’s planned expansion into Europe this year.
Rival CEO Robert D’Arco said: “Our initial launch since September has been extremely successful, and we’re pleased to continue building on the offering of products available for trading on Rival. A key benefit of Rival is users can now run all of their futures and options strategies on one platform. Traders on Eurex are successfully using Rival Trader’s mass quoting, electronic eye and contingent order features to trade options and building their proprietary automated futures trading strategies with the Rival API. The normalized data format within the Rival API also allows users to easily extend their existing automated trading strategies onto Eurex.”
“We are pleased that Rival now also offers access to Eurex Exchange, one of the leading international derivatives markets. Rival users can benefit from our highly liquid products created by our global network of members,” said Michael Peters, member of the Eurex Executive Board.
D’Arco said: “We’ve been delighted to work with Eurex, which has done a terrific job of expanding its product offering and continually improving on its impressive technology. The exchange is focused, like we are, on empowering traders with the tools they need to succeed. As many market participants are preparing their plans for the new year, now is a great time to start exploring new opportunities, such as identifying strategies that incorporate contracts from Eurex into their portfolios.”
