Level Four Software, the leading provider of ATM test and development software, today announced an agreement with Wincor Nixdorf to share ATM specifications of its ProCash ATM software.

The companies have aligned to enable Level Four to provide accurate simulation tools of Wincor Nixdorf's ProCash ATM software. Mutual customers will benefit from reduced development project timescales when introducing new and upgraded ATM content.

The agreement enables Level Four to provide ATM test and development tools based upon Wincor Nixdorf's ProCash NDC and DDC software. Wincor Nixdorf is the world's third largest provider of cash solutions and its ProCash family addresses the full spectrum of cash system applications. As the leader in open standards for ATMs, Wincor Nixdorf was the first to incorporate the Windows® operating system throughout the ProCash product line.

Rolf Scheer, director business service - partner management, Wincor Nixdorf comments: "Collaborating with Level Four is a logical move for us. Level Four's ATM tools are already used by a number of our customers and their product offerings are extremely complimentary, particularly when customers are faced with mandated industry change such as EMV. Through this agreement we will strengthen our relationships with mutual customers."

Level Four's ATM Channel Development Suite enables ATM content to be modified quickly and effortlessly using a simple graphical interface. Level Four help automate testing by providing a PC based "virtual ATM" based upon Wincor Nixdorf's ATM specifications, reducing human error and increasing certainty before deployment. The software also helps banks to increase security, reduce exposure to fraud and assist the migration of their ATM network to support changing industry standards.

"Many customers are looking to upgrade their ATM networks to encompass industry mandates and to incorporate new technologies such as Triple-DES and Remote Key Distribution. Our partnership will enable customers to manage this transition quickly, safely and reliably, " comments Martin Macmillan, CEO, Level Four Software. "We are pleased to collaborate with Wincor Nixdorf to offer our joint customers a synergistic approach to introducing new and upgraded ATM content."

Separately, Wincor Nixdorf Inc., the global leader in open system solutions for the retail and banking industries, today announced that DataMax System Solutions will resell Wincor's BEETLE® family of point-of-sale (POS) systems.

With installations in more than 25,000 retail stores, DataMax maintains one of the largest installed bases of POS customers in the United States. The company's solutions include new and refurbished POS hardware, POS software and other store applications; services include systems integration, installation and maintenance.

"DataMax System Solutions is an important value-added reseller for Wincor Nixdorf," said Jeff Soisson, president of Wincor Nixdorf USA. "With a customer base that includes specialty retailers, hospitality businesses and convenience/petroleum retailers, DataMax aligns with many of the same retail segments that Wincor Nixdorf is targeting. Their vast experience in thin-client POS solutions makes DataMax an ideal fit as a reseller. We look forward to a close working relationship with DataMax."

"DataMax has built our business on recommending the best POS hardware solution for each customer's requirements, and we are excited to represent Wincor Nixdorf's BEETLE family," said Bill Kesl, vice president of DataMax System Solutions. "BEETLEs are renowned for their reliability, flexibility and low Total Cost of Ownership, and they are a valuable addition to DataMax's portfolio of products and services."
