Diners Club of Ecuador has an estimated 600,000 active credit cards and more than 450,000 clients.

In addition to the mobile payment features, which will allow users to enroll and make payments with all their Diners (Diners and Discover brands) and Visa Interdin (Visa brand) cards, users of the app will also be able to view promotions, locate them on the map and receive notifications as well as view their transaction history and manage their cards. The application is completely secure, requiring users to go through a registration process and prompting them to enter a secure PIN every time they want to login. Furthermore, users receive SMS messages notifying them of all activities.

This news comes on the heels of YellowPepper’s partnership announcement with the largest financial group in Colombia last month, Grupo Aval (Banco de Bogota, Banco de Occidente, Banco Popular and Banco AV Villas), powering their AvalPay wallet together with Credibanco.

Serge Elkiner, CEO and Co-Founder of YellowPepper:

“We have been hard at work with two back-to-back launches in September and November and have many developments in the pipeline,” said Serge Elkiner CEO and Co-Founder of YellowPepper. “We are very excited to announce this important partnership in the region and look forward to closing out the year strong.”

“We are extremely excited to roll out this mobile payments application through our partnership with YellowPepper,” said Ignacio Maldonado, Country Business Manager of Diners Club del Ecuador. “We work hard to bring our customers the latest and safest way to manage their payments through technology that is widely accessible to the majority of our customers.”
