Monitr announces platform updates

Monitr, a technology and data services company which specializes in the analysis of news and trend detection for financial markets, has announced significant updates to its financial services platform.

Using a combination of cloud computing and big data software, Monitr analyzes financial markets to discover which stocks are trending in real time.

By analyzing technical and fundamental data for over 8,000 companies, Monitr allows web-based investors and traders to make informed decisions in their trading strategies. For this exciting update, Monitr adds news coverage, opinion articles and other media sources to its database, allowing users to better gauge the overall market sentiment.

“Monitr looks to uncover financial trends within the financial markets, giving investors a tool that can help them in a complex and quickly changing environment,” says Monitr Founder Dennis Lutsky. “Monitr can be your starting point for better market insight and returns.”

As well as a treasure trove of essential business information, Monitr’s new look also includes an easier sign up process, increased inline help and user support, and improved usage and site navigation for first time users. Monitr now allows users to manage their own risk profile, as well as letting them choose which category – micro, small, mid or large cap – of trending stocks.

Monitr is also introducing a range of competitive pricing plans. There are options available for everyone from investment novices to seasoned trading floor professionals, and everyone in between.

All new accounts can use Monitr for free in their first 30 days. While competitors like Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters charge exorbitant fees ($3,200 per month for a seat on Bloomberg terminal), plans with Monitr start with a $49 a month fee for individuals, or $39 a month if subscription fees are paid annually.

The platform is run by a team of seven professionals, lead by Lutsky. The platform has been in the making since 2011 and received initial funding from Spectral Capital Corp, the technology startup funding accelerator. This, Lutsky says, allows the team to focus solely on the task of running and further developing the platform, rather than spending time and energy on an extensive funding campaign.

“With this new release I believe we really have a tool that any level of investor can utilize in their trading strategy,” Lutsky explains. “We have spent extensive time developing Monitr, and with this new update to our services, we are excited to share our platform with our users.”
