Today we’re excited to announce that Simon Williams, a respected banking executive turned fintech investor, has joined NerdWallet’s board of directors.
In addition, Camelot Financial Capital Management LLC, where Simon serves as chairman and CEO, has invested $5 million in NerdWallet, bringing our Series A funding to $69 million.
Simon’s deep industry expertise will be incredibly valuable as we continue to change how consumers interact with financial institutions. His career of more than 30 years spans the breadth of financial services, including executive roles at Citi and HSBC. An early believer in the promise of fintech, Simon founded Camelot in 2007 with a focus on investing in and advising the companies driving the next generation of banking. He has a great track record thus far: He is a director at Lending Club and was an investor in and former director at OnDeck.
