This partnership will provide Canadians with a solution to help them easily switch their monthly bill payment setup to Tangerine and begin paying them electronically.

Two major hurdles to opening an account at a new financial institution are the tedious process of funds transfer to a new bank and re-establishing online bill payment.

"It is essential to us that we provide the most innovative and cutting-edge digital banking services to our customers and make it as easy as possible for them to manage their accounts from wherever they may be," said Nicole Wells, Vice President, Chequing and Retail Lending at Tangerine. "Through this partnership, the Yodlee Platform enables our clients to immediately set up funds transfer and easily switch their bill pay provider to Tangerine."

"The digital financial landscape is ever-changing and banks are seeing exponentially more engagement through innovative banking solutions," says Bill Parsons, Chief Customer Officer at Yodlee. "The partnership with Tangerine marks another step by Yodlee to bring exciting and value-creating solutions into the Canadian market, and it allows Tangerine to deliver a great customer experience and a superior onboarding process to new customers."
