ONPEX has forged a PSP (Payment Service Provider Agreement) with Latvijas pasta banka, meaning the Latvian bank joins the ever grown ONPEX Global Acquirer Network.

As this Network grows, ONPEX has more opportunities to provide merchant solutions across the globe and further cement its reputation for excellence in payments.

Christoph Tutsch, ONPEX CEO and founder, said: “At a time when banks and payments platforms are seen, incorrectly, as competitors, this partnership shows how banks and payments platforms can and should work together. Latvijas pasta banka blend traditional banking, such as current accounts, deposit accounts and loans, with modern, IT focused banking. Working with such a forward thinker in banking is exactly where ONPEX want to be right now.”

Edgars Valmers, Deputy Head of Ecommerce at Latvijas pasta banka, said: “We have global ambitions and, to achieve these, want to work with partners who have a global scope. ONPEX were able to seamlessly integrate our acquiring into its white-label payment platform. Now, as part of the ONPEX acquiring network, they provide the merchant applications to attract more clients to Latvijas pasta banka. Together, we can demonstrate the possibilities of an innovative bank working with an innovative payment platform.”
