Pulse EFT Network moves processing operations to Dallas Centre for Hurricane Rita

In anticipation of the arrival of Hurricane Rita, Houston-based PULSE EFT Association Inc., one of the nation's leading electronic funds transfer networks, has transitioned its Houston processing platform to its fully redundant operations center in Dallas.

Executive Vice President Cindy Ballard said that the move is a purely precautionary measure to take advantage of the network's dual processing platforms established in 2003 that enable identical operations from either location. The PULSE switch is operating normally in its Dallas facility and should continue to provide uninterrupted service throughout the hurricane period, she said.
